About Dr. Jennifer Blacklock
Dr. Jennifer Blacklock is a compassionate and dedicated school psychologist with over 20 years of experience fostering the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students. Before transitioning to school psychology, Dr. Blacklock spent more than a decade as an elementary and middle school teacher, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the challenges students and educators face.
In addition to holding advanced degrees in psychology, Dr. Blacklock is certified in Exceptional Student Education and as a Gifted and Talented instructor. This enables her to approach her clients' cases with a comprehensive perspective that integrates educational, developmental, and psychological insights. She collaborates closely with students, parents, and school staff to develop supportive learning plans tailored to each child's unique needs, ensuring they have the tools to thrive academically and personally.
Dr. Blacklock holds a Mater’s and Doctorate in School Psychology, specializing in psycho-educational evaluations aimed to identify learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and other developmental and behavioral disorders, Dr. Blacklock utilizes evidence-based strategies to address a wide range of challenges that children and adolescents may face.
In addition to conducting assessments, Dr. Blacklock also collaborates closely with teachers and administrators to suggest and assist in implementing research-based interventions, creating behavior management plans and promoting positive mental health initiatives. She believes that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success and works with families to provide guidance, resources, and support.
Outside of work, Dr. Blacklock enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, doing yoga, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. She is passionate about advocating for children's mental health and social-emotional well-being.

Her extensive work across various educational environments provides her with a deep understanding of the unique demands schools place on students today.
